This type is smaller than the RPL 501/502 and RPL 541/542 tanks, which Reskit makes as separate items, so go by the RPL designation when choosing rather than by the shape in a photograph alone.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine multirole combat aircraft with a delta wing and a SNECMA M53 turbojet. It is used by the French Air Force and by further operators, and over its service life it has gone through several versions for air combat and for strikes against ground targets. Drop tanks are usual equipment on this aircraft and their type changes with the mission; the RPL designation tells them apart by capacity and shape. On a model it is a prominent element that affects the whole impression of the silhouette.
Wash the printed part in lukewarm soapy water, remove the supports with a fine saw or a knife and sand the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding. Bonding is done with super glue. It pays to prime the large smooth surface of the tank before painting and to check it against the light, because that is where small irregularities show up best. In color the tank usually follows the scheme of the aircraft; the panel lines and the area around the attachment points are brought out by a fine wash and a light shading of the base color.
