Brass anti-skid plates - square pattern (Voyager Model)

A set of photo-etched brass anti-skid plates with a square pattern from Voyager Model. The package holds six plates measuring 0.95 x 0.60. It is a general-purpose detail accessory with which you can reproduce on your models the walkways and non-skid areas on the fenders, bodies and access points of military equipment. It is not a model on its own.

What it is for

In reality, non-skid plate with a raised pattern is fitted where the crew moves about, so that nobody slips. On a model these areas give the surface a faithful texture and make it look more realistic.

Use and tips

Cut the photo-etched plates to the shape you need, lay them on the surface and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, or with a thin layer of cyanoacrylate glue spread on the base. Lay down a primer before painting; the fine relief comes out nicely once you apply a wash and a dry brush.
