AMMO ATOM Black and White Technique Set

The set is put together for the so-called Black and White technique, that is, modeling volume by means of black and white underpainting over which semi-transparent color layers are then applied. It contains a set of water-thinnable acrylic paints in bottles of 20 ml completed with a transparent medium and clear instructions for the procedure. The ATOM range is an acrylic base for brush as well as airbrush; it is self-leveling, quick-drying and very durable once dry.

Use

• First a map of light is created with black and white underpainting, laying down the shadows and the highlights.
• Over it the color tones are applied in thin semi-transparent layers, which keep the brightness and the depth.
• The transparent medium serves to thin the paints into semi-transparent glazes.
• The paints are thinned and the tools cleaned with water; once cured they will take further coats of clear or decal solutions.

The paints are water-thinnable, non-toxic and odorless. When airbrushing, provide ventilation.
