A modeling paint from AMMO of Mig Jimenez in the ATOM range, listed under the designation ATOM-20056. The name Burnt Brown denotes a rich, warm brown tone with no leaning toward orange. Judge the real finish against the manufacturer's color chart, because the rendering on a screen differs from the dried coat.
It is one of the shades a modeler reaches for whenever an impression of age and use has to appear on a model. It covers the wood of crates and chests, the leather gear of figures, dried mud on a chassis and the dark core of rusty areas, over which lighter and rustier tones are then laid. It also works in underpainting: a thin coat of warm brown beneath a later finish unifies the color impression of the whole model and takes the starkness out of a freshly sprayed surface.
Burnt brown goes well with rust and sand tones and can be graded with them from wet mud to a dusty deposit. Work in a well-ventilated area and do not leave the bottle standing open, as the paint dries on the rim of the neck and then crumbles into the finish.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
