Responsibility details are not available.
ATOM COLOR Graugrün is a gray-green shade matching the German aviation finish listed under the designation RLM 74. It belonged to the Luftwaffe's later three-color camouflage: together with a lighter gray tone it covered the upper surfaces of fighter aircraft, while the undersides carried a light blue-gray shade. RLM 74 is dark and gray-dominant, with a subdued green cast that only fully shows next to a purely gray area.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, or settled pigment will spray unevenly. Use the thinner the manufacturer specifies for the ATOM range, and follow the mixing ratio on the packaging; do not carry over habits from other ranges to this paint. Work in several thin coats and let them set between passes — one heavy coat fills in the surface's fine relief.
It suits the upper surfaces of German fighter aircraft in the later part of the war, the mottled pattern on the vertical tail surface and the sides of the fuselage, and as the darker component of a two-tone upper-surface pattern. For a soft transition, spray from a shorter distance at lower pressure; for sharp-edged patterns, use masks. Always test the shade on a scrap piece first, since it looks different over a large area than on a color chart.
Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
