Olive Drab is a muted American olive from AMMO of Mig Jimenez's ATOM line. The base shade of US Army equipment and gear in the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Olive Drab is American olive in a muted brownish-green tone, the shade in which most US Army equipment was painted during and after the Second World War. The item belongs to the ATOM line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, product code ATOM-20069.
It is most often used on tracked and wheeled vehicles, on crates, jerrycans and other gear, and on aircraft with an overall dark coat. In reality, Olive Drab varied noticeably by production batch, coat age, and how long a vehicle stood in the sun, so you can work with it freely. A model looks more alive when the shade is lightened slightly at the center of large areas and darkened at the edges and in corners, rather than staying uniform everywhere.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use, since the pigment settles to the bottom. Wash and degrease the model's surface and apply the paint in several light coats rather than one heavy one; dark shades otherwise easily fill in fine rivet and panel-line detail. Choose the thinner, mixing ratio and tool cleaning per the manufacturer's instructions for this line. If you want to shade the area, wait until the coat is fully cured before working with washes and dust; a wash catches unevenly on fresh paint and is hard to even out.
The package contains the paint itself. Thinner, brushes and spraying equipment are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
