Zinc chromate finish served as protection for light alloys against corrosion and American aircraft factories covered the inner surfaces of the airframe with it. Besides the yellowish form a green variant was also used, and it is that one the Zinc Chromate Green shade imitates. It comes into its own in cockpits, in landing gear bays, on the inner faces of covers and everywhere that you can see into the machine.
The paint is suitable for an airbrush as well as for a brush. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and use the thinner intended for this range. Stir the bottle thoroughly before work and apply it in thin coats - the inside of a cockpit has fine relief that a heavy coat floods, depriving you of the work you put into it.
An interior looks better when you play a uniform area out: a dark wash into the corners and grooves, a fine lightening of the edges and finally a unifying clear coat. The shade also suits small internal parts, stiffeners, frames and the walls of bays for example, where brushing is enough. Protect painted surfaces from rubbing until you close them inside the fuselage halves. Nor does an interior have to be equally saturated everywhere - areas closer to the canopy take a slightly lighter tone, while deeper in the cockpit a darker one belongs.
Builders of American aircraft of the Second World War will reach for it, as will modelers who need a strong green for inner surfaces and maintenance details. The paint is supplied on its own; thinner, brushes and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
