A set of shades from the ATOM range for the camouflage of modern combat vehicles used in Syria.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings together shades for modern combat vehicles in the Syrian setting. The finishes there move between sand, ocher and gray-green tones, and the vehicles tend to be resprayed in the field on top of that, so several layers of different ages lie on one machine. The set gives a basis from which such transitions can be mixed.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom and the top layer tends to be lighter than the real tone. Use the thinner the manufacturer specifies for this range and keep to the thinning ratio given in the instructions on the packaging. For spraying, the paint is thinned more than for a brush; lay it down in several thin coats so that the surface detail stays readable. Always try the shade on a test piece of plastic, and then the model will hold no surprises.
Camouflage looks more convincing when the base tone varies slightly across an area: lighten the centers of large areas and darken the surroundings of hatches, rivets and seams instead. Let each layer dry properly between shades, otherwise the edges will run together. Finishing work, that is bringing out the seams, chipping the edges and adding dust, belongs only on a dry coat. Sketch the borders between the camouflage fields out beforehand from your references, because spraying them by eye and then correcting them tends to be more work than a while spent in preparation.
The package contains the paints of the stated set. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and models are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
