Azure Blue is a light azure blue shade from the acrylic range of the Spanish brand AMMO of Mig Jimenez. It is a water-thinnable acrylic supplied in a dropper bottle, so you dose the paint drop by drop and work with no aggressive solvents. It is applied with a brush and with an airbrush, and once dry it forms a continuous film that stands up to the further modeling steps of clear coating, decals and weathering.
For the airbrush, thin the paint to roughly the consistency of thin milk and spray at lower pressure, around one atmosphere. Light blue shades tend to have lower covering power than dark colors, so expect to build an area up in several thin coats rather than one heavy one. An even surface underneath, ideally a light gray primer, evens the resulting tone out and saves you a coat or two. Let the paint go off between passes so that it does not lift under the nozzle.
The paint suits modelers of aircraft looking for a light blue shade that mixes well and sprays reliably. Thanks to being thinnable with water it also suits anywhere solvent-based paints cannot be used, typically in a lived-in apartment.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Work in a ventilated space, use respiratory protection when spraying and keep the paint out of the reach of children. Close the bottle carefully after work so that the paint does not dry out.
