Screws with a round head and a torx recess in the 1.0 mm size, to be glued onto a model. Torx is a six-point star recess that has gradually pushed both the cross-head and the classic hexagon head out of modern machinery, because a tool does not slip out of it. On a model the mark of recognition is exactly the shape of the head: a round dome with a star in the middle looks different from a hexagon and places the machine in the present day at once.
On motorcycles it holds the covers and the fairing, the brake discs, the footpegs, the mirrors and the frame accessories; on cars you will meet it in the interior, on chassis parts and under the hood. On a model it therefore suits wherever it is to be clear at first glance that this is a contemporary machine and not a historical subject.
Level and degrease the surface under the element and mark its position with a shallow recess, so that the part does not slide away as it is laid down. Carry the glue in a minute amount on the tip of a wire or a toothpick, because a drop from the bottle will flood the recess in the head and the whole point of the element will be gone. The same goes for the paint: apply it in a thin layer and then bring the star out with a dark wash, which catches in the recess.
For modelers of modern motorcycles and vehicles who care about the heads of the screws as much as about the shape of the bodywork. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
