A metal arbor bolt with a low head, 0.5 mm. It replaces the laborious thinning of heads by grinding.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation light in the name refers to a lowered head. Builders make one at home by grinding an ordinary head down from above on abrasive paper laid on glass, holding it in tweezers all the while. Anyone who has tried it knows how often the piece jumps out and how hard it is to keep the surface level. On a finished part the lowered profile is already given by the manufacturing.
Half a millimeter across the head with a low profile belongs in places where a joint must not stand above the surrounding surface: under covers, into grooves, on mating surfaces or where another part turns over it. The arbor version moreover points to joints where the real machine uses a bolt securing a pivoting connection.
This size is at the limit of what can be gripped safely. Use tweezers with serrated tips, not smooth ones, and never hold the piece by force, or it will shoot away. It is proven practice to pick the part up on a tip moistened with water or on a piece of modeling wax, which makes the transfer easier and does not affect the glue in any way.
Before the glue goes on, always try whether the piece will go into the hole at all. Widening a hole with the part already glued inside means damaging the surrounding surface, which is then hard to level out.
Choose lighting from the side, so that the profile of the head is easy to read while you work.
