An arbor head 1.1 mm in diameter for the load-bearing points of a motorcycle model, for example the mounting of shock absorbers or the frame feet.
Responsibility details are not available.
The most common mistake with this grade happens before assembly itself, while drilling. Anyone who picks a bit of the same number as the part gets a hole somewhat wider than expected: the bit starts to wobble in the plastic and the hole comes out tapered. The joint then sits loosely in the surface, turns in place and shifts to a different position at every touch.
It is safer to start with a much thinner bit and enlarge the diameter in steps until the part begins to offer resistance. Drill cold, slowly and square to the surface, ideally in a hand holder rather than a mini drill, because the speed warms thin plastic and the rim of the hole bulges out. Mark the spot with a needle so the bit does not slide off the rounded surface.
This can be put right without throwing the part away. Fill the hole with a drop of glue mixed with filler or with a thin offcut of plastic profile, let it harden and drill it again. The repair takes a few minutes and is always quicker than straightening a turned head under paint.
This diameter is already big enough to be used on load-bearing points: the mounting of shock absorbers, the lower engine mounts, the frame feet. The arbor family offers a head with a shoulder here, which visually lifts the joint off the surface, and the lowered build marked as light keeps the detail from looking like blacksmith work in scale.
Bits of this size break easily, so it pays to keep a second one of the same number in reserve.
