The heaviest grade in the selection, 1.2 mm. A choice for large scales, commercial and construction machinery, and for anyone who finds the finer dimensions troublesome.
Responsibility details are not available.
Twelve tenths of a millimeter is the heaviest size this dimensional group contains. The brand does not continue above it, so anyone who needs an even heavier head has to look in another part of the selection or help themselves with their own modification.
Above all builders in scales around 1:16 and larger, where the joints on the frame really are large. No less important, though, is the second group: modelers whose eyesight or steadiness of hand does not allow them to work with tenths below eight. Here the head is big enough to be picked up with the fingers through a piece of paper, and the hole can be drilled without the risk of the bit snapping.
On a model in 1:35 or on an aircraft in 1:72 such a head would look like a glaring lapse of proportion. Care is also needed on thin flat parts, because a hole of this width already takes a noticeable part of the material and the part around it can be weakened.
The frame of commercial machinery, chassis anchor points, the feet of construction machines, the hinges of large covers. On motorcycles in larger scales it suits the engine mounting and the lower fork feet, that is where it should be clear at first glance that the joint carries something.
A heavier shank means a larger area for the glue and therefore a stronger hold. At the same time it means longer before the surplus dries, so leave the part lying undisturbed after installation and do not handle it.
