Metal heads 1.0 mm in diameter with a hexagonal outline and a straight slot. A replacement for the bland molded imitations of bolts on a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Bolts molded in the mold together with the part have a sharp disadvantage: they are flat, the parting line takes one edge away from them and after spraying hardly a shadow is left of them. A turned metal head, by contrast, has a real projection above the surface, casts a shadow of its own and reflects light differently from the surrounding paint. The difference is noticeable even in a photograph from an ordinary phone.
A diameter of a flat one tenth of a centimeter is a notional divide. Below it the matter is small clips, above it already load-bearing joints. This dimension therefore suits the radiator mounting, the lower engine brackets or exhaust flanges, places where the bolt should look as though it really holds something.
Cut the original molded shape off level with the surface with a sharp scalpel, sand the surface with fine paper and mark the center point with a needle. Without a recess the bit slips and the hole ends up off the axis. Only then drill, and with the smallest bit that makes sense, because a hole can always be widened but never narrowed.
Divide the set into a shallow dish; metal heads have a habit of springing away and you will not find them in a carpet. Fine-jawed tweezers are a necessity at this dimension; the head can be held in the fingers, but the mark of grease will stay on it and the paint will later flake off at that spot.
