Basing Sets - Forest is a themed Green Stuff World set meant for finishing the bases of figures and models into a woodland setting. It is a set of aids concentrated on one type of landscape, so you do not have to track the materials down and tune them item by item. The exact make-up is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set.
A woodland base is the opposite of a desert. It lives on layering and on irregularity: fallen leaf litter, roots growing through the surface, moss in the shade, a damp dark ground and lighter details above it that catch the eye. It is precisely the contrast between a dark ground and lighter accents that decides whether a base looks like woodland or merely like a brown area. It also pays to leave part of the surface free, because an overcrowded woodland base stops being legible.
For players of tabletop battle games and collectors of figures who want to give their bases one uniform woodland character, and for modelers working on small natural scenes. The Green Stuff World range also offers further landscape themes, so the individual parts of a collection can be told apart visually.
