About product

Mr.Paint BBS Gold

This is a lacquer metallic airbrush paint in the gold shade carried by classic BBS wheels. The paint is ready to spray and is not water-thinnable. The bottle holds 30 ml, and the fine metallic pigment gives the surface a metallic sheen.

Use

  • Stir the paint thoroughly before and during spraying - the metallic pigment settles to the bottom.
  • It is sprayed with an airbrush; with a nozzle of around 0.3 mm it can be applied unthinned, otherwise thin it with lacquer thinner, not with water.
  • Metallics look best on a smooth, primed base; apply them toward the end, as they are harder to overspray and to mask.
  • Clean the tools and the airbrush with lacquer (cellulose) thinner.

Who it is for

For builders of car models who want the faithful gold metal of wheels and trim with a fine metallic structure.

A flammable liquid, and the fumes are irritating. Use it in a well-ventilated area and with suitable respiratory protection.

FAQ

No. It is a lacquer metallic shade. It is thinned and cleaned with lacquer (cellulose) thinner, never with water.

The metallic pigment settles to the bottom of the bottle. Without thorough stirring the shade and the sheen would be uneven.

Metallics come into their own on a smooth primed base. Apply them toward the end, as they are harder to overspray and to mask.
