A set of printed cockpit parts for models of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 fighter in 1:48 scale. An accessory for a kit, not a model in itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 appeared at the turn of 1942 and 1943 as the unpressurized counterpart of the G-3 version. It was powered by the twelve-cylinder DB 605 inverted V12 engine, and compared with older machines it received larger main landing gear wheels, which added prominent bulges on the upper surface of the wing. The cockpit was cramped and modelers like to refine it, because once the canopy is removed or slid back more of it is visible than most kits offer.
The set replaces the cockpit interior of a model in 1:48 scale with printed parts. Printing allows finer and deeper three-dimensional detail than can be created in a mold, so small levers, frames and instruments come out well. The make-up of the parts and their placement are given in the instructions enclosed in the package; follow them when removing the original interior from the kit as well.
The set of parts alone is supplied. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
