BIRCH AUTUMN LEAVES 28MM / 1:72 (7GR. BAG)

AK interactive birch autumn leaves for 28 mm and 1:72

Loose scenery leaves for building dioramas and display bases. This is not a kit or a paint but a finished material with which you create fallen leaves, the crowns of trees and shrubs or drifts of leaves against walls, fences and in ditches. The shape and shade match a birch in autumn, that is ocher to rusty tones that can move even otherwise bland terrain into a particular season. It is a seven-gram bag and the manufacturer intends the material for 28 mm figures and for 1:72 scale.

Use

• Finish and weather the terrain first, as the leaves go on as the very last layer.
• Sprinkle in small doses onto glue applied beforehand, not the other way round, otherwise the leaves clump together.
• For fixing, thinned PVA glue applied drop by drop with a pipette from above has proved itself.
• Into the crowns of trees, apply the leaves onto fine foliage or scatter rather than straight onto bare twigs, otherwise the crowns stay see-through.
• Once dry, carefully tap or vacuum the excess off, so that only what really holds is left.
• Alternate the leaves with a little soil and dry grass, as an even field of one shade looks artificial.

Who the material is for

For builders of dioramas in small scales, for wargamers finishing 28 mm figure bases and for anyone who wants an autumn scene without laboriously making leaves one piece at a time. Even a beginner can handle it; all it takes is patience in dosing and some thought about where leaves would naturally lie.

A fine loose material. Do not inhale it, keep it out of the reach of small children and ventilate while fixing it with glue.
