AK Interactive Black Pigment — Black Pigment (35 ml)

An ultra-fine dry pigment (colored powder) from AK Interactive, designed for weathering models. It is not an opaque paint or a kit, but a loose powder in a 35 ml bottle. The black shade is used to imitate soot, burn marks, smoke deposits around exhausts and gun barrels, darkening shadows, and grimy buildups. The pigment can be applied dry with a brush, or mixed with thinner into a thick paste and worked wet.

Use

• Apply it dry with a soft brush into recesses, corners and around exhausts, then tap off the excess.
• For wet application, mix the pigment with a pigment fixer or mineral spirits and apply it as a local deposit.
• Fix an applied dry pigment with a drop of fixer, mineral spirits, or by spraying a matte varnish over it.
• Layering it with other AK pigment shades adds depth and a natural transition.

For modelers of military vehicles, aircraft, cars and dioramas who are building realistic grime, soot and burn marks.

This is a fine powder — do not inhale it, do not eat it, and work in a well-ventilated area; keep out of the reach of children. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
