A dark green from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive in a bottle of 17 ml. The name refers to a bronze cast, that is a green shifted toward brown and toward dark. It is not a fresh or grassy green: it reads heavy and calm, and over a large area it behaves much like a dark neutral tone.
It suits wherever the green is meant to be dark and inconspicuous, that is on interior surfaces, on small items of equipment and on surfaces where the color should look practical rather than decorative. It takes the company of olive and gray tones well, because it shares their mutedness and does not jump out of them. In layering it serves as a dark base that you then lighten with a lighter green.
Stir the paint well before work, as the pigment settles while it stands. Apply it thin and rather more than once, because with dark shades imperfect coverage only shows up against the light. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand. A dark area easily looks flat, so once dry, grade it with a lighter cast and bring the hollows out with a wash. Apply masks before spraying and take them off only once the paint has dried. The recommended thinner, the thinning ratio and the cleaning of tools come from the manufacturer; follow their instructions.
For a modeler who needs a dark green without garishness and wants it from a range in which the shades follow on from one another. The package contains the paint alone, 17 ml; a thinner, a primer and tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
