A set of modeling brushes, 7 pieces (U-STAR)

A seven-piece set of brushes for building and painting plastic models. It contains four flat and three round brushes in graded sizes, so it covers the painting of the surfaces of smaller parts as well as detail work on edges, instruments and small equipment. The set is good basic equipment as well as an addition to what you already have on the bench.

Use

• flat brushes for painting larger surfaces, covers, chassis and base coats
• round brushes for details, the faces of figures, instrument panels and edge highlighting
• the dry brushing technique for patina and for emphasizing raised parts
• applying washes and liquid lining paints into the hollows
• spreading filler and glue on small surfaces

Who it is for

For a beginning modeler as a first complete set and for an advanced one as working brushes that are no loss. It will take acrylic as well as enamel paints — only consistent cleaning after every use decides.

Wash acrylic paints out with water right after work, and enamels and lacquers with the matching thinner. Dried paint at the ferrule will ruin a brush for good. Dry the brushes lying flat or with the bristles upward, and never leave them standing tip down in a container.
