Responsibility details are not available.
A dark gray shade from the Orange Line range by Hataka, listed under the name Dark Sea Grey and under number 638 of the British BS 381C standard. Gray tones of this kind belong to British aircraft camouflage schemes, where they form the darker part of the upper surfaces and go together with a lighter gray and a green. On a model it also proves itself where the color is meant to be dark but not black: a dark gray holds the shadow in the panel lines while it does not swallow the surface detail.
BS 381C is the British standard of colors for identification and special purposes; every shade in it has a three-figure number and its own name. Number 638 is listed as Dark Sea Grey. The reference is unambiguous, so using it you can compare the shade with the paints of other ranges regardless of what each brand has named them.
Shake the bottle well before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom when standing. The thinner made for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging. Apply in thin coats and let them set between passes, as one heavy coat floods the fine surface detail. Wash and degrease the surface of the parts beforehand. With a two-color scheme either mask the boundary between the shades or spray it as a soft transition, depending on the real subject you are building.
Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
