Effects of bullets striking terrain and obstacles. They will add traces of a hit to a figure base or a small scene.

A bullet that misses its target always leaves something behind: a puff of dust knocked out, a chip of rendering, a splash of earth. It is exactly these small traces that give a scene direction and tension, because they tell the viewer where the shooting came from and where it went. Without them even a carefully painted figure looks like a model standing on an empty board.
The parts are printed three-dimensionally, which gives them a broken form that a casting from a mold could not hold. Before gluing it is advisable to roughen the surface, so that the glue holds well, and to set the element itself so that its direction matches the position of the shooter. In color it pays to start from the terrain around: dust always has the shade of the ground it fell into, and only the upper edges are then brightened with a dry brush. In size everything matches infantry in 1:35.
Experienced builders advise placing the strikes irregularly and in a slightly diverging line, because a burst never lands in one point. Two or three elements are usually enough; a dense carpet of traces tends to overload a scene. If the scene holds a wall, put at least one strike into the vertical surface: a vertical and a horizontal impact look different and their interplay gives the whole a sense of space.
