The small butterfly wing nut of 1.5 mm from the GAS HANS brand serves as a detail accessory for a model. It is fitted where a hand-tightened joint is meant to show: on tool clamps, on hatches, on covers and on equipment brackets.
On parts of this size ordinary cement for plastic models usually does not work, because the material may not be one that it dissolves. The reliable choice is super glue based on cyanoacrylate, ideally in the thicker gel form, which unlike the thin version does not run into the wings and flood the very shape you are buying the part for. Dose it by transfer: squeeze a drop onto a piece of film or onto glass and pick up only as much as clings to the tip of a needle. Never straight from the bottle onto the model, as you will get an order of magnitude more there than is needed.
Super glue often leaves a white haze around the joint, especially when an accelerator is used or when there is too much of it. Glue sparingly, therefore, and wipe the excess away at once with a sharpened stick. The joint holds firmly but is brittle in tension, so rather do not load the finished spot and pick the model up elsewhere. Ventilate while working; the vapors of the glue irritate the eyes and mucous membranes.
