Every scene in which something is going on also needs somebody who is watching it. An accident at a crossing, a roadway being repaired, loading on a ramp or a fire crew at work only make sense once a knot of onlookers is standing by. This six is put together for exactly that role: four men and two women, of whom five figures stand and one woman is caught seated.
The seated figure is an important exception here and has to be allowed for in advance. Neither a bench nor any other seat is included in the package, so one has to be obtained separately or the figure has to be seated on a low wall, a curb, a crate or a step. There is also a use that looks the most natural: seat her on a piece of luggage or at the edge of a ramp, that is where a real person who has been waiting a long time would sit.
Standing figures work best when they are turned in one direction but not in line. A knot in which everyone is looking at the same thing while standing irregularly reads at first glance, and a viewer will find for himself what is interesting in the scene. Setting them out in a row with regular gaps, on the other hand, reads as a queue, which is a different scene.
The reduction matches the ordinary railroad standard, in which an adult comes out at roughly two centimeters. The color finish is done and nothing is finished or assembled. When gluing, it helps to set the figure down first and photograph the scene from eye level, because in a photograph an unnatural arrangement shows far sooner than it does to the naked eye.
