A mat for the modeling workbench with a camouflage pattern. It protects the tabletop from scratches, glue and paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
The mat is laid on the worktop and separates it from the work going on above it. It protects the table from scratches, drops of glue, spilled paint and solvent, and at the same time it gives the modeler a defined area to work in. The difference from a bare tabletop shows above all with small parts: on a uniform surface they are easier to find than among the grain of wood or on glossy laminate. The name indicates the camouflage pattern of the surface.
The mat is not indestructible and will not take everything. Run a sharp blade over it only if the manufacturer's information allows it; otherwise cut on a separate cutting mat laid on top. Wipe cyanoacrylate glue and solvent thinners away at once, while they are still liquid; once dry they leave a stain or lift the surface. Put hot tools, both a soldering iron and a burning tool, in a stand rather than on the surface. Sweep away the remains of sanding dust so that it does not get under parts and scratch a finished coat.
It suits anyone who builds at a table that also serves another purpose and must not come to harm. It also does good service where the working area is limited and the boundary of the workspace needs to be clearly set.
Tools, glues and paints are not included, unless stated otherwise.
