A small resin part, a Venturi tube, for models of the Japanese Yokosuka K5Y trainer biplane, called Willow by the Allies, in 1:32 scale. It replaces a coarser plastic part with an accurate casting with thin walls.
A Venturi tube created the suction for pneumatically driven instruments on board. On biplanes it tended to be placed on the side of the fuselage, and it is a marked, fine detail that a resin casting renders better than injection-molded plastic does. This is an accessory, not an aircraft model.
Separate the part from the casting block carefully, clean it up and glue it on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Because of the small dimensions, work with tweezers; lay the paint on in a thin coat.
It is supplied as a resin detail set; paints, glue and the base model are not part of the package.
