About product

Green Stuff World Chameleon Red Goblin

An acrylic paint with a chameleon (colorshift) effect from Green Stuff World. It contains ultra-fine shifting pigments that, according to the viewing angle and the fall of the light, move between saturated red shades with darker secondary transitions. The paint is water-thinnable and is applied by brush and, once thinned, by airbrush.

Use

  • Apply it over a black, ideally gloss base, which strengthens the effect markedly.
  • Mix the paint thoroughly before use; the pigment settles to the bottom.
  • Apply it in thin coats until the base disappears completely and the shift stands out.
  • Suitable for armor, wings, cloak features and eye-catching areas of figures and vehicles alike.

Who it is for

For figure painters and collectors looking for a striking, shifting color effect for science fiction, fantasy and display models. It comes off best with more advanced builders who can manage the preparation of a gloss black base.

The paint needs a dark base to show itself properly; on its own it does not cover like an ordinary shade. Work in a well-ventilated space.

FAQ

The colorshift effect only stands out over a dark, ideally gloss black base; on a light base it is lost.

It is a water-thinnable acrylic paint; it is applied by brush and, once thinned, by airbrush.

Not like an ordinary shade; it works as an effect layer and needs a dark base to show itself fully.
