Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from the Chibi-Maru line of the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi brings the destroyer Harekaze, the main ship of the popular anime series High School Fleet, into a cute shortened form. The caricature proportions with a big bow and compressed superstructures match the light-hearted spirit of the original perfectly. This is not a scale model — the Chibi-Maru line has no scale and is built for simplicity and the joy of the result.
Harekaze is a fictional destroyer from the series High School Fleet, in which all-girl crews from a naval high school set out on training voyages aboard so-called direct education ships — hence the school ship designation in the name. The design of Harekaze is based on Japanese fleet destroyers of the Second World War, but the series gave it its own modifications and story. The ship became a symbol of the whole series and has seen a number of modeling versions.
The build is undemanding and quick — bond the parts with a thin coat of cement for plastic and hold the small pieces with tweezers. The color scheme follows the ship as seen in the series; you will reach a nice result with a brush or an airbrush. Clean, rich colors without weathering will underline the anime styling. Fans can complete the model with figures or a diorama in the style of the series.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
