Chibi-Maru High School Fleet Hiei from Fujimi joins the cute distorted Chibi-Maru line with the popular Japanese anime series High School Fleet. The subject is the large education battleship Hiei as the series shows her. This is not a conventional scale model — the hull is shortened and the proportions deliberately simplified, and the result is a compact, likeable little ship for the shelf. The build is undemanding and quick.
In the anime High School Fleet large ships serve as floating schools on which the students learn the seaman's trade. The name Hiei at the same time refers to the real Japanese Kongo-class battleship that served in the first half of the twentieth century. The kit will therefore please fans of the series and collectors of naval subjects alike.
Separate the parts with nippers and lightly sand the marks left by the sprue gates. Bond them with a thin cement for plastic and paint them with acrylics — with an anime subject, clean and rich shades and careful application of the markings pay off. A gloss coat under any decals will ensure smooth adhesion, and a final matte or satin varnish will unify the whole.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
