A kit from the line of cute distorted models of the Japanese company Fujimi. This is not a conventional scale model: the tank is deliberately shortened and stocky, with an exaggeratedly large turret and barrel, so the result comes across as a likeable caricature of the real machine. The line is conceived as a simple build that even modelers without previous experience will enjoy.
The Type 3 Chi-Nu was a Japanese medium tank from the end of the Second World War. It came about as a response to the American M4 Sherman tanks, against which the older Japanese machines were not enough. It carried a gun of 75 mm derived from a field gun and went into production in 1944. Only around one hundred and fifty units were built, and they stayed in Japan for the defense of the home islands — the tank practically never saw real combat.
Separate the parts with sharp nippers and you will lightly sand the marks left by the sprue gates with fine abrasive paper. Distorted models come out beautifully even when brush painted — the basis is Japanese khaki green, which you can complete with a simple wash to bring out the detail. Anyone who wants can leave the model in a clean form without weathering; it suits the playful character of the line.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
