Responsibility details are not available.
A set of hand-painted figures of children from the Scenic Accents line of the American maker Woodland Scenics. There are six children's figures in ordinary situations: on a scooter, waving, with a lunch box, calling to friends and at play. The figures are cast from plastic resin, hand-painted and supplied finished: nothing is glued together and nothing is touched up with paint. HO scale corresponds to 1:87, that is to the standard of the most widespread size of model railroading.
Figures turn a layout into a living place. Children suit a station platform, a park, the sidewalk in front of houses, a school building, the yard of a family house or the corner of a diorama where an empty area is otherwise left over. It is precisely small genre vignettes that help most to make a model landscape come across as inhabited and to give the viewer's eye somewhere to rest.
First just lay the figures out and let the scene sit for a while, and only then glue them. A small drop of PVA or cyanoacrylate glue under the soles proves itself, or a special glue for figures, which allows the position to be adjusted for a while longer. The soles sometimes need light sanding, so that a figure stands straight on uneven terrain. If the gloss of the paint does not suit the overall tuning of the scene, the surface can be unified with a very fine spray of matte varnish. Remove dust from a finished scene with a soft brush, not with a cloth.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, terrain and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
