The pieces can be taken off and replaced at any time and leave no glue residue. Grit 400 is a fine stage of the range, used as the last step before the primer goes on.
For modelers who care about the quality of the surface and want finer grits available for small and less accessible places too. Grit 400 is a good intermediate step between the medium stages and the final finish: on its own it removes almost no material, but that is exactly why it levels a surface reliably with no risk of rubbing through an edge or a detail.
Do not breathe the sanding dust, work in a ventilated space and use a respirator and eye protection for longer work with resin.
