Copper wire 0.9 mm in diameter and 50 cm long. A soft material for grab handles, lines, antennas and the pins of moving joints.
Responsibility details are not available.
Copper wire belongs to the material that does not get in the way on a bench and once in a while saves a whole build. It will replace a torn-off grab handle and serve as a hydraulic line, a cable, an antenna or a reinforcement of a glued joint. A pin on which a part turns can be made from it, as can an armature onto which a modeling putty is worked.
The diameter is 0.9 mm and the length 50 cm. Copper is soft and malleable, you bend it with your fingers or with tweezers and it holds its shape. It takes soldering, so it can be joined even where glue would not be enough. To give an idea: in 1:35 scale a diameter of 0.9 mm corresponds to a rod roughly three centimeters thick.
You shorten it with nippers, not with a modeling blade, which would be ruined on metal. A wavy piece is straightened by pulling it or by drawing it between your fingers and a smooth surface. Take sharp bends over the edge of a pair of tweezers, and bend curves around a round body of a suitable diameter. Sand the ends back so that they do not chafe. Prepare a longer piece with a margin to spare, as shortening is possible at any time and lengthening much less so. Before painting, degrease the wire and apply a primer, or the paint will not hold on the smooth metal.
The wire will be used by anyone who builds vehicles, dioramas or ship models and repairs broken-off parts. Glue, solder and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
