A set of six acrylic paints in bottles of twenty-two milliliters, put together for painting German uniforms and camouflage smocks in particular. It contains the shades UA407 Panzer Uniform, UA408 Light Brown, UA409 Dark Brown, UA410 Light Green, UA411 Dark Green and UA412 Extra Dark Brown. For these paints the manufacturer states a special matting additive, which is to imitate the look of cloth on a scaled-down figure rather than a varnished surface.
A camouflage pattern is built from the basic area to the individual patches, not the other way round. First lay the lightest tone over the whole smock, then add patches of the darker shades and finally the outline in the darkest color. On a small figure it holds that the patches should be smaller and softer than they were in reality, otherwise the pattern looks coarse. Shake the bottles before use; the paints are acrylic and are thinned with water or with the thinner of the same brand.
