Cup for cleaning brushes (Amazing Art)

This is a practical pot intended for rinsing and cleaning modeling brushes while painting. It is neither a paint nor a building tool: it serves to keep paint from drying on the brushes and to stop individual shades from mixing with each other. The cup suits work with water-thinnable paints (acrylics) above all, but it rinses a brush just as well in a suitable thinner.

Use

• Fill it with water (for acrylics) or with a suitable thinner and rinse the brush thoroughly in the cup after painting.
• Work the filaments gently so that the paint comes loose right at the ferrule, which is where it dries most often and fastest.
• Change the water as soon as it clouds, so that further shades are not dirtied by the remains of the previous color.
• Once cleaned, wipe the brush to a point and let it dry lying flat, never point down.
