A bottle of modeling paint from Hataka, from the Orange Line range. The shade carries the name Mustard and belongs to the group of warm yellow-brown tones. The paint suits spraying as well as brushwork. Choose the thinner that is made for this range and keep the thinning ratio to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
Shake the bottle well before use, until the settled pigment has mixed off the bottom completely. Warm yellow and ocher tones tend to cover less well than dark colors, so it pays to prepare a light and, above all, uniform base. Over a varied base the underlying coat shows through and the shade looks dirty. Apply several thin coats one after another and let the surface set between them, as one heavy coat floods the engraved lines and the fine details.
Wash and degrease the model before painting, as on a greasy surface the coat rubs off later. Test the shade on a piece of scrap plastic with the same base the model will have, because the same paint looks different over a light base and over a dark one. Rinse the airbrush right after finishing work, as dried paint is far harder to get out of the nozzle and the needle.
Store the bottle well closed, away from frost and direct sunlight, and ventilate while working. Unless stated otherwise, the paint is supplied on its own, without thinner and without other accessories.
