Model Craft mini snips, small version with curved blades

Small precise snips with a built-in spring that opens them by itself after every cut. You therefore work by squeezing your fingers alone, the hand tires less and the cut can be guided slowly and under control. This version has short curved blades and an overall length of about one hundred and ten millimeters. The curve is the key thing where you cut close above the surface of a model: your hand stays clear of the surface and the tip of the snips reaches exactly the place of the cut without blocking your view.

Use

• Trimming decals and their backing film close to the edge of the print.
• Shortening and trimming the rigging of ship models and the bracing wires of biplanes.
• Cutting masking tape, self-adhesive films and thin plastic films to shape.
• Snipping off thread, fishing line and hems on figures and scenic accessories.
• Trimming grass tufts, static grass and scenic materials on a diorama.

Who the scissors are for

For modelers who work with decals, rigging and scenic materials, and anywhere an ordinary knife is awkward and large scissors are coarse. The small version with a curved blade is the handiest of the whole range, it suits one hand even for longer work, and it is also fit for small sewing and beadwork away from the modeling bench.

The snips are not intended for cutting metal, hard steel wire or plastic sprues, as the blades would be damaged or chipped. Keep out of the reach of children.
