Cyan is a deep azure blue with a green cast, one of the primary colors of printing systems. In modeling practice it is welcome twice over: as a clean deep shade on modern vehicles, sporting machines and fantasy subjects, and as a mixing ingredient with which you shift another blue or green exactly where you need it.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before work. Deep blues cover less well than dark shades, so lay them on in several thin coats and let each one go tacky; one thick coat fills the engraving and hides detail. A light base also helps, and on it the shade shows its full effect. The thinner meant for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging, separately for the airbrush and separately for the brush. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand.
It will be reached for by builders of modern aircraft and ground vehicles, racing machines and fantasy subjects, where a deep blue is used on bold areas and stripes. When the work is done, close the bottle carefully so that the paint does not thicken, and store it at room temperature.
Thinner, primer, varnish and a model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
