Responsibility details are not available.
The Dairy Farmers set belongs to the line of scenic accessories of the American brand Woodland Scenics for HO scale (1:87). It holds figures of farmers from a dairy farm at work with the herd and in the running of the yard. The figures are modeled in detail and hand-painted; they are supplied finished and are only set in place.
Animals on their own make a paddock no more than an enclosure with cattle in it. Only the people who look after them turn a farm into a working holding. The set belongs by a dairy barn, by the milking parlor, at the fence of a paddock, in the yard between the buildings or at the ramp from which the milk is taken away. It works best paired with a set of cattle in the same scale, because the figures and the animals then explain each other.
Always turn a figure toward what it is attending to: the cattle, the gates, the containers. A solitary figure in the middle of a yard looks unnatural, while a pair in conversation by the fence brings a scene to life at once. Glue with a spot drop of cyanoacrylate glue; on a grassy surface PVA glue holds as well. Matte varnish evens out the gloss of the paints and a pinch of pigment on the rubber boots and the trouser legs links the figures to the muddy yard. Shades may differ slightly between production runs.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
