A simple paper card model from the Czech publisher Tojemi with subjects inspired by the most famous long-distance rally in the world. The printed sheet holds pre-drawn parts that only need to be cut out, folded and glued — an ideal first step into the world of paper modeling.
The long-distance rally that made its name as the Dakar has been a byword for extreme motorsport since the late 1970s: off-road specials, motorcycles and competition trucks cover thousands of kilometers of desert and inhospitable terrain. It is exactly this atmosphere of adventure that makes rally subjects such a rewarding theme for children to build.
Use sharp scissors, and for the small details a knife with a ruler and a cutting mat will help. Score the folds lightly along a ruler beforehand so that the edges are straight and clean. For gluing, a glue stick or PVA applied in a thin layer is enough, so that the paper does not ripple. The finished models can be stiffened and improved by backing them with heavier paper.
It is supplied as a printed sheet. Scissors and glue are not included in the package.
