A set of swords from the TRAITORS SQUAD range by Green Stuff World in 1:48 scale. It belongs among accessory parts for figures, not among standalone models or figures.
A sword differs from the other parts of a figure in one property: it has a long, smoothly drawn surface with no division. In paintwork that behaves differently from fine relief, because it allows a smooth shift of shade to be carried along its whole length, an effect that cannot be achieved on a broken surface. In terms of composition the blade is moreover the longest straight line a figure offers. Depending on where it points, it can lengthen the character visually or close it into a compact shape instead. Carried horizontally it widens the figure to the sides and draws attention to its surroundings; carried upward it heightens the figure and concentrates the gaze on one point.
For modelers and collectors who choose the armament of their figures themselves and want to work with the outline of a character. The TRAITORS SQUAD designation is the name of the range in the manufacturer's original wording. The material, the number of pieces and the length of the parts are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
