Dark Earth 35ml

AK Interactive Dark Earth Pigment, dark earth pigment (35 ml)

An ultra-fine dry pigment (colored powder) from AK Interactive in a dark earth shade. It is not an opaque paint and not a kit, but a loose powder in a 35 ml bottle. The dark brown earthy tone serves to reproduce dust, dried mud, dirt and deposits on chassis, running gear, the undersides of fuselages and in diorama landscapes. The pigment can be applied dry with a brush, or mixed with a thinner into a slurry and worked wet. Note: the manufacturer also offers a variant under this name as a liquid enamel pigment, so it is worth checking which format the particular package holds.

Use

• Apply it dry with a soft brush to chassis, running gear and lower surfaces.
• For wet work, mix the pigment with a pigment fixer or with mineral spirits for deposits of dried mud.
• Fix the dry pigment with a drop of fixer, of mineral spirits, or by spraying over it with a matte varnish.
• Combine it with the lighter earths and rusts from AK for a natural depth of dirt.

Who it is for

For modelers of military vehicles, cars and dioramas who build up dusty and muddy operational dirt.

In powder form this is a fine powder: do not breathe it in, do not eat it and work in a well-ventilated area; keep out of the reach of children. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
