A drying retardant gel for dense acrylic paints, a 60 ml package. It extends the time during which the paint can still be spread and blended on the surface.
Responsibility details are not available.
Acrylic paint dries fast, and that is both its strength and its problem. The moment you want to blend two shades directly on the model, soften a transition or finish a shadow on a figure, the short drying time works against you. A drying retardant extends that time, so the paint stays workable longer and a brush stroke can still be corrected.
The package contains 60 ml of the product in gel form. The gel is thicker than a thinner, so it does not dilute the paint unnecessarily and keeps its covering power, which is exactly the main thing with dense acrylic paints.
Add it in small doses and stir, then try the effect on a spare piece of plastic before you touch the model. The mixing ratio and its suitability for an airbrush are given in the manufacturer's instructions; the gel consistency is aimed above all at brush work. Close the container firmly after use and store the product at room temperature out of the reach of children.
A larger share of gel extends the drying more than you expect, and the layer then stays soft for a long time and prone to fingerprints. So apply the next layer only once the previous one is really dry, and wait just as long before varnishing. If you are not sure how the product behaves with your paint, start with a small share and add gradually.
