Responsibility details are not available.
A very light bluish shade from the acrylic Real Colors range by AK Interactive, listed under the designation RC911 and the number FS 35622. Duck Egg Blue is the established name for the pale blue-green tones that appeared on the undersides of aircraft. The FS number refers to the American color chart and serves to compare colors across brands. The bottle volume is 17 ml according to the item name.
Pale blue tones have a different job on a model than rich colors. They are used where a surface should blend into the sky, that is, on the undersides of fuselages and wings, on the inner faces of landing gear doors, or as a light base over which darker camouflage fields are then laid. They also mix well into lightened versions of other blue shades, used to brighten the centers of panels.
Wash and degrease the surface and stir the bottle thoroughly before use. Apply it in several thin coats with a short pause between them. A light color on dark plastic needs more passes before the tone settles, and a single heavy coat will instead flood the engraved lines. It therefore pays to unify the base with a light primer beforehand. Thin it with the thinner intended for this range of paints; the thinning ratio and the airbrush pressure are given by the manufacturer.
For aircraft modelers who want a light bluish tone ready to hand instead of mixing it from white and blue every time. It is a separate shade; thinner, primer and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
