About product

AK interactive Dunkelgrau Dark Base

This is an acrylic, water-thinnable paint that dries matte. It is the dark base member of the modulation set for Dunkelgrau, the German dark gray. Dark Base is one step lighter than the shadow shade and forms the transition between the darkest shadows and the base color.

Use

  • Applied as a dark base on lower and shaded surfaces during modulation.
  • Combined with the shadow and the base shade of the same range for smooth transitions.
  • Thinned with water or acrylic thinner, for airbrush and brush alike.
  • It can be mixed with the other shades of the set for fine tuning of the tone.

Who the paint is for

  • Modelers of German armor in gray finish.
  • Anyone interested in the color modulation technique and smooth shading.
  • Users of acrylic paints for airbrush and brush alike.

An acrylic paint thinnable with water. Work in a ventilated room, and clean your tools with water or with an acrylic cleaner.
