A modeling paint in the Dutch Demo Orange shade in the lighter variant, that is, the orange of Dutch demonstration finishes.
Responsibility details are not available.
Dutch Demo Orange is a rich orange referring to Dutch demonstration machines. Orange is the Dutch national color and machines with a demonstration or anniversary finish carry it over large areas, so the shade decides the overall impression of a model more than it does with ordinary camouflage. The qualifier light denotes the lighter of the pair of variants; it suits either on its own or for brightening upper surfaces, where the darker tone looks too deep in the light of a display case.
Stir it thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when it stands for longer. A rich orange has low covering power and loses its brightness over a dark or uneven base; lay a white or very light gray base under it and let it dry. Then apply the paint in several thin coats. One thick coat ripples easily over large areas, floods the detail and dries unevenly. Thinning and cleaning differ between the individual ranges, so go by the data on the label and by the instructions of the manufacturer.
Large single-color areas reveal every unevenness of the surface, so finish sanding and filling before the base is applied. Apply masking tape to paint that is perfectly dry and pull it off at a slant along the edge. A rich orange tends to be prone to fading in light, so do not leave a finished model in direct sun.
For modelers who build machines in a Dutch demonstration finish, and for those looking for a bright orange for warning areas and conspicuous finishes. Models, a thinner and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
