Earth Yellow is an earthy yellow paint, that is, a muted sand tone with a cast toward brown. The number FS 30257 given in the name is the designation of the shade under the American Federal Standard color set, a system in which the colors of military equipment are described by an unambiguous number instead of a mere name. Judge the exact appearance against the manufacturer's color chart and the label. Bear in mind too that on a small model every shade reads darker than on a large area, which is why light earthy tones are sometimes chosen a little lighter.

Use the thinner intended for this line and keep the thinning ratio and the way of applying it according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
