An AK Interactive acrylic modeling paint from the Real Colors range, a light ivory shade under the designation RAL 1001, in a bottle with a volume of 17 ml.
Responsibility details are not available.
The shade carries the German name Elfenbein and its English counterpart Ivory, and it is listed under the number RAL 1001. The chart number is a practical thing here: it defines the tone unambiguously, so the paint can be traced and compared even from a color scheme that works with RAL numbers instead of trade names. The shade is also marked as an interior color, which suggests where it belongs above all.
Light cream tones appear in interiors because they brighten a cramped space. On a model that has one consequence: a light area on its own looks flat and the detail in it disappears. It therefore pays to count on a further step, that is a dark wash into the recesses and light accenting of the edges with a slightly lighter tone. Only after those does an interior start to look deep.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, because the pigment settles on the bottom. Light shades tend to cover less well, so over a dark base expect several coats, or lighten the base first. Apply the paint thinly and evenly; a heavy coat on small parts would flood the relief, which is what matters most in an interior. The thinning ratio, the spraying pressure and the cleaning of tools follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
One bottle of paint with a volume of 17 ml is supplied. Primer, wash, thinner, varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
