A resin detail set of exhaust nozzles for a model of the French Dassault Rafale fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aires. It is not an airplane model but a replacement part that takes the place of the simplified plastic nozzles with faithfully cast parts with the structure of the petals and the internal detail. The Rafale has two nozzles, so the set refines the view of both. The set is made for the Hobby Boss kits.
The Dassault Rafale is a French twin-engine multirole combat aircraft with a delta wing and canards. The engine nozzles are among the striking visual elements of the rear end of the aircraft and their exact shape noticeably affects the overall impression of a model.
Wash the parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Metallic and heat-stained shades are built up with metallic paints and tints; stir the pigment of the metallics thoroughly and apply them at the very end. Check the fit against the kit you are using.
